My previous post was that the previous owner kept the AC through hull open all the time to keep it "primed". Sorry but I'm the type that closes every thru-hull on departure. Will I have trouble gettin the AC pump to prime back up after closing the thru-hull? If I do, is there a simple inexpensive fix? I have discovered that heeling CAN actually cause a loss of prime-or so it seems in my case today. However, I did find a "keep water on the outside" fix. I turn on the AC and then I put the wet-vac on the thru-hull fitting to suck water through and voila here it came! I think the thoughtfull fix is to a) open thru-hull prior to turning on air when at the dock and b) close thru-hull prior to sailing. Any other suggestions?
