Catalina 30 Old Saybrook
Well, I promised to report exhaust back pressure after my re-power of Nepenthe, our 1985 Catalina 30, which is plotted below. This was from our new Westerbeke Universal M25-XPB with their factory water-injected riser off the manifold; a Ø2" ID "blue" hose into a Centek Ø2" ID top in, top out Vernalift muffler; and the original Ø1-5/8" ID hose replaced with a Ø2" ID hose; and a Vetus Ø2" ID stainless thru hull with following seas flipper.

RPM BP (psi)
1000 1
1500 1.25
2000 1.5
2500 1.75
3000 1.95
3200 2

Again, I'm curious to know if anyone has conducted a similar test and their results, especially when using a Universal M25(-XP, -XPB), a Catalina Direct riser, and an OEM Ø1-5/8" ID Catalina Yachts' Aqualift muffler and exhaust hose.

Hey boat builders: This test data should come with your new boats!

Thanks,
Rob
