We had Good News out for a great sail Saturday on San Franscisco Bay, winds around 20 knots or more. Just put up all the sails, no reefs, and went flying along the city, by Alcatraz, and then to the lee of Angel Island for a quiet lunch before a beam reach home.
Sorry I have not been posting exciting projects, but I have been trying to avoid them! We did have the yard put in a new alternator/regulator which seems to have cured electrical problems, replaced the engine thru-hull (after 30 years) and Pt and Chui waxed her top to bottom.

Lucky you! Sounds like about the perfect day in the perfect boat. Raining and cold all week up here in N. Ontario. Glad the boat is up on shore but I would rather be you.

C&C Frigate 36 St. Margarets Bay, Nova Scotia
CALYPSO was out on the bay Saturday too. It was blowing a near-gale (30 -35 k) out here on our east coast St. Margarets Bay so I went out with the yankee rolled up, just staysail and full main, and actually used the running backstays for the first time this year. Great sail! Had some friends from a smaller boat (Albin Vega) along for the ride and they were amazed how comfortable the sailing could be in those conditions. We beat out to the mouth of the bay and then turned and came back in on a broad reach. Yeehaw! A great sleigh ride, touching over 9 knots at times. Gotta love these boats!
