To: Bill Thomas of Adler Barbour, Thanks for the timely response. My Beneteau is located at Spicer's Marina in Noank,Ct. If someone calls me at 203 426- 3439 I'll arrange to meet them at the matrina so that they can board the boat.. I don't know the serial number off hand but the boat was built in 1999 in Marion,S.C. by Beneteau USA. It is a brand new 2000 model and the refrigerator has been unuseable due to the previously described problem. BTW, a tech from Pilots Point Marina was aboard and was unable to offer any solutiion other than that the box was too big. Given my description of the behavior of the unit this does not seem to be an acceptable answer. The new Cold Machine units are supposed to be superior to the older models from the 80's. Thank you, Kevin O'Sullivan kosullisail@hotmail.com

You are correct. We have seen some units with poorly insulated bottoms. But this is not the case. If the unit is freezing at a setting of 2, the problem sounds like an electrical one. It may be in the PC board (where the tstat plugs in) or the module. I will have Jerry Staunton from Thermal Dynamics call you. I'll have him stop here on the way to pick up spare parts.
