Moring all, seems my float switch in the bilge area located in the salon only works in manual mode. Will any brand float switch work or should I replace with the same as the one (square-black - dont know brand) that is currently in the bilge.

A bilge pump wired for manual usually has a breaker switch in the panel. The presence of a float switch indicates the objective of having a pump operate automatically but for it to work there has to be power flowing through the switch so that when it activates it closes the circuit and operates the pump. Find out where in the wiring is the power to the float switch been interrupted.

Thanks Benny, There is a switch on the panel that offers manual or automatic. It works on auto but when adding water into the bilge, it does not pump....I will check the fuse but do think the float switch is broken. Greatly appreciate the input...
