Trying to get ideas on how to remodel the interior of my 94 H26. The funny fuzzy stuff just got to go. Under the stuff is some pretty ugly unfinshed junk of filler and raw resins. Thought some teak or other hard wood run horizontally would induce a warm feeling (and maintenance). ANY IDEAS...... All 26 folks I'm sure are listening up!

Here is my plan.

Bill: I got a quote from H & L Marine to make battens out of 3/8" mahogany. The wood will be finished on one side. The cost for the wood was about $115. We plan on putting 3/4" stringers vertically (about every 12-16") on the hull with epoxy. Then we are going to glue and nail the battens (with stainless steel nails) to the stringers. I am planning on prefinishing the battens before I attach them. I am also thinking about putting some insulation between the stringers.

Pictures...

Hi Bill/Steve, This sounds like an interesting project. Please take pictures as you go through the process and post them up on the HOW photo gallery. There are several of us that would like to "see" how you do this. Fair winds... Tom
