Hi Peggy, Can you tell me where I can find the Sealand Technology Hoses you have used? West Marine lists 70 Sealand products but not the hoses. They carry a "Super Head" hose by Shields Rubber. It's also $8.00 a foot. Do you know anything about that? Thanks. Ken

Go to their web site, dealers are listed there

Thanks Don

I had tried that but wound up at the Taylor Made Group site following a link from Alta Vista. Apparently, Sealnd Technoloy is now owned by Taylor Made. That is a terrible site with no links to dealers for any of their products. Once you pointed me directly to their site, I found the dealer list. Have you used the hoses??

Not the same hose

The $8/ft hose at WM etc is black "heavy duty" hose...better than any other white hose except the SeaLand, but only slightly. SeaLand doesn't sell their "OdorSafe" hose through WM etc...only through their own dealers and distributors. Give 'em a call at 800-321-9886 to find the dealer nearest you.

Is the Sealand hose any easier to handle than the black hose. The black stuff is not easy to bend (consequently does not kink easily). In some instances there is very little clearance for the hose to pass. I assume that it is a little smoother too?

SeaLand "OdorSafe" is stiff as an ironing board...

The "OdorSafe" hose is a white hose which has a "skin" of something resembling plastic wrap on it...it's about as stiff as black hose. but thinner. However, that doesn't mean you should force it to bend-- and don't even THINK of heating it to bend it. ...'cuz no matter what hose you use, it will kink--maybe not immediately, but sooner or later. If you need to bend any hose more than it wants to WILLINGLY go, insert an inline bend.
