Aloha Kakou!
I've received several requests for information on AVA membership and
Fair Winds subscriptions recently so I guess it's a good time to post
the latest info.
New memberships: US$25 - Includes one year subscription to "Fair
Winds", the newsletter of the American Vega Association beginning
with the next issue after payment is received, a copy of the VORM
(Vega Owners Repair and Maintenance Manual) revised Jan 2002 and now
containing 131 pages of invaluable information for Vega owners on a
CD which also contains the complete archive of "Fair Winds" and AVA
News beginning with the August 2000 issue plus the complete photo
album from Rendezvous 2001 at Pender Island, BC. Yes, the price of a
new membership has gone up considerably. But consider the value
added. Never before were we able to include all previous issues of
the newsletter to new members and the photo album was out of the
question. Due to the advent of current technology we are now able to
update the CD with each new issue of "Fair Winds" and the VORM can be
updated instantly to stay current with the latest information
available.
Renewals: United States Residents - $12
International Memberships - US$15
All memberships expire with the calendar year.
I'm holding the line on the price of renewals but the price will have
to go up later this year due to the increased cost of postage and
printing unless I can come up with some advertisers to help foot the
bill.
How can I get the CD?
The CD is part of the New Member Package and will be sent to all new
members with their first newsletter. Members in good standing (Dues
paid) of the AVA may purchase the CD for a minimum donation of $5 (Or
a little more if you're so inclined)
Members of our sister organizations, VAGB, VODA, Vega-Kring etc. May
purchase the CD for US$10, the additional cost being for postage and
packaging.
The CD is not for sale to non-members (Sorry)
Send your check or Money Order, made payable to "Chuck Rose", to

In other news:
Last night I got a sample T-Shirt back from the printers. It looks
pretty good but needs a little tweaking to get it just right. I'll
bring samples to the Rendevous at Lopez Island. If we get the design
finalized in time I'll post pictures here.
Scrambling now to get burgees done in time for Rendezvous 2002.
Stay tuned........
Mahalo for all of your support
