I recently purchased a 46' Morgan.. In the inventory came an Autoprop feathering prop....I am trying to decide weather I should install this prop on my boat or sell it.... I am looking at the pro's and cons of such a prop... My mechanic is leaning me to not installing it as the prop can cause eccess wear on the cutlas, transmission and undo load on the shaft....along with the possibility of collision with line, fish or acumulation of internal debris causing blade design failure. Is the advertised 85% drag reduction worth those worries???..I am only cruising not racing. thank you
