My autopilot raymarin st4000 MKII do not keep corse if there is wheater helm. (the belt tension is ok) Is it possible to change the transmision ratio or the arm lenght? (I have an Edson gear& rack ) rami
We had similar problems on our '85 H34. We found that it seemed to track truer if the remote control module was on the centerline of the boat. I wired in a power outlet to the side of the binnacle and mounted the remote between the two steering wheel support uprights, facing the stern. That took care of it.
