HELP! I have a 1998 Hunter 376. The X-5 wheel pilot that came with the boat just doesn't cut it. I am upgrading to a new EV-200 with a rotary drive. I need the sprocket that mounts on the wheel shaft to complete the job. I am currently in Portsmouth, VA heading to Marathon, FL. The autopilot will be here on Wed. (26 Oct. 2016). Does anyone know what size and where to get one?

It came with the EV100. Are you sure it doesn't come with the EV200?

John, I have not received the rotary drive unit yet. I was wondering about the size & number of teeth for the wheel shaft. It is a 1" diam shaft.

Your purchase should include everything needed to install.

The yard here at Tidewater seems to be competent, but I never turn away help. Do you have any idea of what size and where to get the sprockets I need?

I installed a Ev 200 this past summer and every thing I needed was in the box. There was no sprocket, didn't need one. I'm wondering if you ordered the correct unit because there is a EV200 that has a rotary unit in it but that's for power boats.

We ended up purchasing our new autopilot from Hodges Marine Electronics in Florida. They had the best price ($400 less than Defender). Raymarine help to understand how to size the sprockets and the Techs here at Tidewater were able to source them. All arrived yesterday and is now in process. Hope to be underway in a day or so. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

Hello sv/red sky : I have the same boat '98 H376 and I am about to do the same autopilot replacement. Can you tell me details about the sprockets and chain length?

Mike, no I can't because my info has been put away. If you download the manual there is a chart you can look at that tells you how many teeth each sprocket needs to have. As for chain length, one the sprockets are installed you can measure. If I remember correctly, the chain come in specific lengths and will have to be shortened.
