I pulled my speed transducer and found that one of the magnetic impellers had broken off. This has been creating slow speed readings. Where can I find just the impeller? (or whatever you call the thing that rotates) or do I need to purchase a whole new transducer unit. If so, where to buy? Autohelm Tridata (Depth and Speed), approximately 7 years old.

West Marine

If you are near a West Marine store I would start with them. They may not have the impeller in stock but in the past they readily ordered an Autohelm part for me and had it within a couple of days. Incidentally, the impeller is easily removed as there is only a pin to push out and the impeller is free to remove. Take it to WM and ask them to duplicate it.

Raymarine

I just contacted Raymarine at the link below for parts to my ST-50 TriData. They responded with the part numbers and was able to order on-line fairly cheap with out have to worry about the store getting me the wrong part. Dave Simply Magic
