Autohelm 4000

I have a auto helm 4000 and I am continually getting a reading of a course of 65 degrees no matter what ourseiam sailing this is in both auto and standby mode. If I hit the plus 10 it will change but then it will go back. I don't have the manual so I am having problems trouble shooting it. The only change to the boat is I added chartploter that is not wired into the system.

I had similar issues with the 4000 on our boat as well as a lower battery indication even when motoring. Solution.... UPGRADE ! Now my auto helm is integrated with the chart plotter.. Life is good...

I had same problem-try spraying electric spray in both male & female plug ends. Re tighten, and wrap with fresh new electric tape. Solved my problem....
