Autohelm 300

My '81 Catalina 30 came with 2 Autohelms -- a 4000 that needs to be rebuilt, and an old belt-drive 300. Can anyone give me operating instructions for the 300? I think I've figured out the belt drive part, but there is a gimbaled compass with a rotary switch on the bottom and 2 LEDs on top. What's the operating procedure? That model went out in the early eighties! But I would think that Raytheon could help with some instructions if no one else does. By the way, people who used that model found that putting a plastic bag over the compass/control head went a long way to eliminate waterproofing weaknesses.
