Auto-pilot for my 29.,5

I want to buy a auto-pilot for my 1996 hunter 29.5.

I would like to know which one fit and works the best..

Wish I could recommend my Simrad WP30 but they quit making it. Ten years in all conditions and never a problem. I don't think a 29.5 needs anything but a wheel pilot. And I never see or read about anything other than Raymarine: http://www.wmjmarine.com/auto-pilot...topilot.html?gclid=CM6P95b93Z4CFcx25QodZ1-4JQ . Almost everyone that I know has some old(Raytheon) or new(Raymarine) version of these.

Many of us have a Raymarine...

Autopilot. I just replaced an older 4000 with the interim S-1. The newer X-5 doesn't use the rudder sensor that the S-1 requires. But, there may still be some S-1's available for sale at almost half the price of an X-5 unit. Check out the X-5 in the WM catalog.

After some fine tuning of the software to make it respond more like my old 4000 did, I am quite satisfied with the S-1. Either one should be more than adequate for an H29.5.

S-1

I have 2007 H-36 with the S-1 that has the rudder senor which I like that helps when backing in to my slip and should be fine for your 29.5.
You may find a S-1 on E-bay.
