I live in Melbourne and would be more than happy to meet up. Unfortunately my boat is in France so I cant invite you for a sail, but at least we can have a few beers and talk about Vega's.

I have been on the lookout, but have not come across any Vega's in Australia, although I did hear there was a girl who sailed out here and was in a marina near the Gold Coast in Queensland, that was some time ago.

I have often thought with such a big group we ought to have some sort of directory by country and city of all the Vega owners, I get very envious when I read about all you guys having a rendezvous somewhere or other. I have had my boat in the Sth France since 1983 and I have never seen another Vega there either.
I will make you guys in the Northern Hemisphere envious now it is sunny and 43 degC. in Melbourne now.

Hi Nigel

My daughter lives in Sydney so we visit occasionally. I tried
contacting the lady who owned a Vega on the Gold Coast last year but
never got a reply so don't know if she or the boat are still there.
I have never seen a Vega in Sydney but that is no surprise as the
harbour is BIG with thousands of boats are moored there and even more
in the surrounding areas, so spotting a Vega would be like finding
the proverbial needle in a very very big haystack. Great place to sail
if you get the chance.
