Hiee all,

I am wondering if anyone here has information about Attwoods LED navigation and anchorage lights. I've been looking for ages and most seem really expensive, BUT yesterday I found a site Iboats which has the LED Attwood lights port/starboard for like 29.00 each and they are USCG approved. Now I'm also interested in what anyone might have to say about their Waketower allround anchor light. I'm most interested about the anchor light as it mast head mounted ie difficult to get to if problems arise. The nav lights only use 0.1 amp each and the anchor light uses 0.2 amps.

Thanx,
Brina

if, you're handy 12v led's in the auto stores will work for much less, if you find a configuration that will fit internally, and you reseal the lens and electrical connections. as far as legal requirements go with as many leds that fit physically inside.

I just bought Attwood 3500 series LED navigation lights for my CAL. I got the #3520-7 Bi-Colour (0.2A each) and the #6556-7 (0.15A) white stern. They look much brighter than the older existing Aqua-Signal 24 series. I’ve only bench tested them, as I haven’t had time to install them yet.

While a quick look at them in the store had me second guessing the build quality they do have a 10 year warranty. They are also USCG/ABYC A-16 certified. For $30.00+/- you really aren't risking much to try them. Considering that I have seen numerous failures of $300.00+ Lopolights I'd say go for it..
