Here we go again. The main is on and working great, but the jib is another story. I have a DCI roller furling system. How does the tack of the jib attach to the drum on the roller furling? There are two "u" shaped shackles one for the jib halyard and the other to connect the tack of the jib but the shackle is too small to go thru the grommet on the jib. I'm sure ther is something that goes between the grommet and shackle but I'm not sure what it is.

downhaul

Kurt, Sounds like your missing a downhaul block on your shackle. If you use a double block you can run a light line from the tack down to the block, back thru the tack, and down thru the block again. Some blocks have jam cleats attached or you can tie it back at the tack. This allows you to adjust the tension of the luff. CDI may sell the block that came with your furler. Good Luck! Ron
