Can anyone recommend a way to attach a Danforth anchor to the outside stern rails (1.0 inch) so that I can free up some space in the stern locker? Pics would be helpful if available. Thank you very much. :)

Wish I had a better photo for you, but this anchor is situated on the rails with a cradle that accepts the base of the shank. Hopefully, someone else has a better shot, but I'll keep looking.
Then, you'll want to figure out how to neatly store the chain and rode....

Depending on the size. West marine sells a set of brackets that the anchor bottom rod fits in with a locking tab. Stores the anchor upside down.

I appreciate your response and your time in sending photo. Wetass provided a good source for the bracket which I will get.....my chain and rode are kept in a large plastic bucket in the stern locker which I will bring up on the stern deck when we go into anchorage and where we need to set stern anchor. This location of the stern anchor should make deploying a bit easier...as I am closer to my outside winch which I use to tighten up stern to dropped anchor.
