Just got a 1997 270 and I was trying to figure out the reefing system. I saw that the reef tack shackle is attached to the boom by a a 1/4 inch line. is this standard? Any one have photos of there set-up? Thanks from the newbie.
The first link here shows the reefing system, alternatively to using the reefing hook as shown the line can be run thru the grommet and attach to the hook on gooseneck on opposite side, but this does add friction. http://www.catalina27.org/images/c270bomd.jpg
