Slippage adjustment
Hi,I just did this on my boat. It is very easy. By a new gasket from moyer before you get into it. The tranny sprays oil around inside when running and if you do not have a good gasket, it will leak.Anyways, basically you find your neutral point in the transmission shifter. Then tighten the forward gear, then tighten the rev band. It does not take very much of an adjustment to get a big difference. Do not glue the new gasket back on. For me, I had to adjust everything about 3 times till I got it where I was happy, no slip and not too stiff for the trans shift lever. Three times to take the gasket and cover off for quick adj and then back together. Lucky I have very easy access in my Cat30.Good Luck,Paul
