Hi there! I recently installed a new thermostat because the overheating lite came on when the temp gauge was reading 190 degrees. Now the lite starts blinking at 175 degrees. But if I keep a lower rpm no lite and temp gauge stays below 160 degrees. I replaced vetus wet muffler, impellar, all water hoses, temp sending unit, drain petcock, water is spitting out the back intermittently and when I slow down the temp gauge goes down. My concern is the lite grey smoke and this blinking red overheating lite and the amount of water coming out the back exhausts things I haven't changed the vented loop ( does this need something attached to the vent at the top? It has water hose coming to it and going to the exhaust elbow) it look like new on the outside and not knowing who the previous owner was I had no one to ask all these questions of is anyone know how the light on the control panel gets is signal from and where on the block. Why is the temperature go up drastically when I give it a lot of rpm ? All help from anyone please I've seen to reach the end of the road until I head to the repair shop and pay someone a lot of money to take the cylinder head off I would appreciate all ideas thank you very much
