I saw an ad for a Hunter 27 (1975-84) for sale, listing an Atomic 4 gas engine. I'm guessing this is a mistake, since all posts I've read on this model show Yanmar diesels. Does anyone know if they were ever shipped with Atomic 4's?
No, but would not put past someone to replace a non-working diesel with an available a-4. I bet you the boat motors a lot better, but would not want the maintenance, problems and hazards associated with a gas engine.
my first hunter 27 a 1980 i got in 1979 had a renault one cylinder 8 hp diesel on it they went to yanmar and then i believe the 84's had westerbeakes sailorhayes@hotmail.com
