Asymmetrical Spinnaker Tack Point

I am sure I will get sh!t for this, but on my O’Day 322, when I want to fly my spinnaker, I put a block on my old plow anchor cross brace and run the tack line down to the block, then back to a cleat. The anchor is pinned at the roller and can’t move (and I don’t feel a ton of on the line. It gets the tack as far out front as I can without some sort of pole out front.

In this photo, the tack line is just routed down and under the anchor pin. Last year I added the block (which works a lot better).

Guess I'd be adding a sleeve ( tube) over that bolt. Itt protect the line from chafe on the threads and reduce friction by turning on the bolt.

Are you flying that inside the pulpit? Looks like you could route it outside. Some lash a ring to the pulpit to feed tack line through helps keep from blowing off sideways.
I'm flying my asso inside off the bow roller which is 18" from the forestay. I'm allowed another 6" w/o a rating hit but I'd like to go 12" more to 30" to get that thing outside the pulpit and pulling proper.
It is outside of the pulpit, and with the block, it keeps the tack line in line better.
