I am setting up an asymetrical spinnaker and want to be sure I have run the sheets correctly. Do they first go through the jib blocks and then back to the stern blocks and then to the smaller set of winches?

Other blocks

For most boats, you need to put the blocks all the way at the stern and run the sheets forward to the winches. On your 34, with a perforated toe rail, you could get snatch blocks and snap them on the toe rail, then remove them when the chute is not in use. However, your best advice will come from someone who actually sails a 34, no doubt. :)

Snatch blocks on toe-rail

Works perfectly and if you have a sock then you can set it up and fly it even when singlehandling. Good luck
