Hey Guys, Question on asymetrical sail trim: I know when to trim the sheets, but I'm not sure when to loosen the tack of the sail to allow it to rise or fall. I understand the effect it would have on the sail (cause it to rise & have a fuller shape) but how do you know what to set it at? What conditions would warrant a loosening of the tack? Is there a rule of thumb for the maximum height like as high as the boom or within a few feet of the boom?? I get decent performance from my cruising shute when on a reach, but I can't say I'm getting much more performance than my 150% genny gives me. I think I'm missing out here. Any thoughts would be most appreciated. Thanks! Allen Schweitzer s/v Falstaff C-30 Hull# 632
