Are there any S2 35’ or 36’ Center Cockpit owners in New England?

Hi S2 Owners,

I currently own a Cal 2-30 but I’m very interested in moving up to a S2 35’/36' Center Cockpit. All of the reviews, books and owner comments I have read indicate that this is great boat for cruising. If any one has the time on the list, there are few items I like to learn more about:

1) any maintenance items above the usual (i.e. re-sealing chain plates ever few years is normal)?

2) most of my boats have been solid hulls, has any of the 35’ owners experience or seen any issues with the cored hull?

3) I’d like to put davits on the S2, and recommendations on which davits work best (Kato, Garhauer, Ocean Marin, St. Croix, Forespar, Edson, etc.)?

4) I’ve never been on an S2 35/11m to get a feel for the cabin space and desk layout. Are there any S2 35’ or 36’ Center Cockpit owners in New England who wouldn’t mind inviting me over to get a better feel for the boat?

Thank you for the recommendation. I sent a private message to David in Rockland. Ironically, I have a mooring in Rockland (7+ years) and I need to pick up my new main in Bohndell’s Sails & Rigging some time this summer.
