Thanks for all the wonderful info...this place been an invaluable resource for me as I refit my 93' Vision 36. Anyone know where I can find an arch for dingy davits and solar panel mounts. Seems my boat was not common enough for manufactures to build a jig and the welder wants me to take out a 2nd mortgage....thanks

Wow Bob... That's quite a story. Really has me rethinking the whole arch thing....hope you had an isolated event and this isn't a reoccurring problem out there....

We have the hunter arch and have not had a problem.
The boat with the arch issue was using an aftermarket arch. It was meant as a caution about buying an arch and then adding items to it. It can get overloaded.
Don't be discouraged just be cautious and plan ahead for all the weight that might be added later.
