Good evening to everybody, I just got myself a Hunter 25,5. As my wife and I are planning to to a larger cruise the end of the year we are looking for a possibility to have a secure power supply. Would you opt for APU's or solar panels ??? Any infos on Producers/price levels/advantages-disadvantages/security concerns Thanks for your help Patrik

I would opt for as large a battery bank as possible with solar as the simplest. An APU adds unnecessary complexity, why not just keep it simple. Of course, the missing link is what your energy budget is and how often you'll be able to plug in and recharge or if your engine can do that and if so how much. Only you know that. I just find it difficult to conceive of buying an APU when a built in battery will give you more peace of mind if set up properly. Stu
