Why not try the booklet charts for free before you decide what to buy, or just buy both, you'd be safer?

I have used the booklet charts and have a complete set for the entire east coast.

I like them A LOT!

The full sized charts are nice and worth a hard study but when underway, it is nice to have something that fits in your hand that you can have with you in the cockpit. Use the big chart to notice all of the hazards or POI's and then transfer notes to the booklet charts.

Unless you have a designated navigator...I have found that to be a great compromise.

Yup, Michigan Island lighthouse. It's a long way down from up there. The kiddos picture is on the south sandspit at Oak.
Princess, I'm glad you said "it's the blond hair", I can't say that because my wife is blond too.
I like the idea of a picture thread but maybe we should open it up to all the places we've been to on Lake Superior by boat.
