We love our Doyle asymmetrical

Ordered directly from the chandlery on this site (SBO), along with the halyard, sheets and ATN sleeve. SBO automatically specs for your model. Very competitive prices and great service. We gibe out front of the headstay, but use the sock all of the time to raise and douse the spinnaker. Well worth the money. Also bought one of the ATN tackers to use over the furled headsail. Also well worth the $. ATN has a great site with videos that show all of this stuff in use. The asymm is our favoite sail.

I got a cruising asym from Quantum, plus a snuffer, and like it very well.

Doyle's sails are great!

Hey, Nick, we've had a Doyle APC since we got Escape in 2002 and have been very happy with it/them for performance and service. We added a laminate UPS in 2003 because in our typicaly light July/Aug winds we can fly the UPS anywhere from a close reach down to a broad reach and greatly increase performance. The APC is a hoot if you're spending a lot of downwind time-either really make up for in-mast furling in light air. we use the ATN sock on each, with the guy led through a block on the anchor roller led aft through a set of jib furling blocks on the port side.

Try this spinnaker pole...

Here’s an easy-to-make bowsprit, seats in the anchor locker. This will throw the spin ahead of the main, less blanketing. Tack line and 2 sheets permanently deployed for quick setup. (Note that the link here has 2 pages of pix and directions.) Typo correction: Eyelet should be 3/8 inch. http://www.sailboatowners.com/bowsprit.doc
