I have been asked to help field test a very interesting product: an (allegedly) odor-impermeable "sleeve" that goes on sanitation hose. If successful, it could be put on any new hose to contain odor...it can also be put on hoses that have already permeated, which would be almost as big a pain as just replacing the hose...but a LOT cheaper!Since how long it takes new hose to permeate--if ever--is unpredictable, we're looking for a few volunteers--preferably in FL, TX or other areas of the deep south where both the climate and the waters are warm this time of year--who already have permeated stinky sanitation hoses (the stinkier, the better) who'd be willing to put this "sleeve" on them instead of replacing 'em. July and August are a great time to run this kind of test, because anything that doesn't stink in hot weather won't EVER stink. Before you volunteer, be aware that testing this product means taking hoses off the toilet and the tank to get the sleeve onto 'em. If it works as expected, the recommended use will be on new hose, before it's installed. Any takers? If so, e-mail me at peghall@scbglobal.net
