Hello,
While sailing last weekend we put tension on the vang and the boom on my Y25 broke. It didn't come completely apart but I need to replace. Has anyone done this? I can make the measurements but out of town and would like to get the new one ordered and was hoping someone had the measurements or replaced their's at some point. I'm looking at Dwyer Masts and looks like they will work but they have no specs for the Y25 spars. Any help is most appreciated. Thanks.

broken boom

Thanks Harryjack,

This is helpful, if it's not too much trouble can you measure the boom length from end cap to the beginning of the gooseneck? I plan to reuse the hardware and order the new boom aluminum section. I will post the results and information when I purchase.

What you are looking for is boom extrusion length, no parts attached.

Length is 110 7/16"

The extrusion is 2 1/4 " wide and 2 57/64" in deep, pretty close to 2 7/8ths. Might be the way I put the calipers on it.

The rig rite 4f is as close as you are going to get out there, still might have to buy new end caps.

Don't forget to use tef gel on your fastenings so you can get them off in the future by eliminating dissimilar metal corrosion
