I've just accepted a consulting job surveying the sanitation and plumbing systems on the MY "Ursa Major," berthed in Petersburg, AK and will be flying home out of Anchorage. My flight schedule leaves me with about 11 hours in Anchorage to kill--from about 3:00 in the afternoon on Weds the 23rd till about 2:30 am on the 24th. That's the 23rd of August..THIS month. I've never been to Anchorage--never been to Alaska--before, so really looking forward to this job! And wondering if there are any sbo.com denizens in Anchorage who might have the time to be my "tour guide" for a few of those hours on the 23rd....certainly NOT until 2 am, though (which is an ungodly time to catch a flight, but at least it means I'll sleep most of the way to Dallas, which is a LONG flight from Anchorage!).
