These guys are located in Columbia, South Carolina. They sell new trailers, but are known to rent trailers. Also, they are professional boat movers all over the country.

I suspect he would have measurements on hand for a O'Day 222. It usually takes him six weeks to custom build a trailer. He is known as pricey, but his trailers are strong, reliable, simply the best.

I bought an Oday 23 in May 2008. It had a rickety old single axle trailer that I paid a mobile trailer mechanic $700 to fix. New springs, bearings, etc. I drove the boat 45 minutes to my "home" lake...Lake Monticello, SC, which is near Lake Murray. I've had it moored there ever since.

I looked for a replacement trailer a lot last summer. But the darn things are $3000 to $5000! I even have considered buying used Oday's who have trailers with them...they seem to sometimes be less!

Since the economy tanked and I own an advertising/web design agency...I stopped looking, just in case we lost any significant client base. (that hasn't happened...yet.)

My only suggestion is to do searches on craigslist. That seems to be the best place.

If you're interested in splitting the cost of a trailer...I could be open to that!

I picked up 2 jibs and spinnaker for $100 off craigslist earlier this year. Good deal. Good sails.

The guy in Michigan is right. The O'Day 192, 222, and the 240s came with single axle trailers. My 222 came with a single axle Load-Rite roller trailer which also had rollers for the keel. My boat would roll of that trailer and into the water as slick as any powerboat with the water up to the hubs of it's 15" wheels. The trailers that were specially made for these boats are no longer made. and the extension brackets for the roller bunks aren't made. If this guy is talking about a roller trailer, it is going to be very hard to put one together for your boat. I'd say hard, but not entirely impossible. It really depends on whether you plan to trailer this boat or leave it on the mooring or slip. If you plan on trailering this boat short distances, I'd say go for the single axle roller trailer of at least 3000 LBS capacity. The trailer can be shorter and distribute the weight fine. On the other hand, if you plan on using a mooring or slip, I would go for a tandem bunk trailer with 24" extension brackets for the bunks. The trailer should be as long as you can get it. Possibly a trailer for a 23' boat because you don't want to have to swamp your towing vehicle at the ramp in order to float your boat off. Check out the Long Mfg trailers at a dealer close to you and also check out the 24" extension brackets. http://www.longtrailer.com/ I loved my Load-Rite trailer when I had it but after a period of years it started to nickle and dime me to death for rollers and parts. I'm very happy with my Long Trailer.

I have a trailer for a 25' O'day. Its a roller trailer, all the rolllers are adjustable up and down front and back. The keel rollers are adjustable up and down about a foot.
Its a double axle trailer and the brakes do not work. Im planning on fixing them but not soon enough for you to use it. I could rent it for a deposit of 1000.00. Maybe give me 200.00 for the rental. I live in Leesburg, FL. I am sure your boat would fit on. I bought my boat the same as you without a trailer. Thought it would be easy to get home with a boat mover. Those guys want everything easy for them, don't want to put their trailers in the water. Found this trailer and snatched it right up a couple of days before the dock slip rental ran out for previous owner. My 26' just fits with adjustments all the way.
