Anyone have a Nauticat 33

Hi All

We have a Oday 34, now getting near retirement, we are looking for a boat more suited to our needs/ my wants. A Nauticat 33 has gone up for sale at out Marinia. I spent a few hours checking it out on the hard. We seem to think its our dream boat.

So far our only concern is the lack of a cockpit, what have owners done to make the aft deck usable

Does any one have one or have any experience with the Nauticat

If I was doing this research, I'd use Google and yachtworld's pictures. I'd also check other boating forums, since this one is great, but realistically limited to different types of boaters than the boat you're looking at. Also try www.cruisersforum.com

For comparison, Southshore Yachts has one for sale in our yard....cockpit? They have a huge aft deck well out of the water.....

Yes they do have a nice aft deck and yet well out of the water. I am trying to figure out seating other then deck chairs. Today we put an offer in on it. They are far and few between. It suits our needs perfectly. Getting ready for retirement. So why not ?

There was one in our harbor in Annapolis.
I have a soft spot for small, seaworthy boats, and the Nauticat 33 is fantastic. Great layout, offshore ready, loads of cruiser in a reasonable size.
