Interesting ...
Never personally known nor seen anyone doing a liveaboard on an M or X. But as you might expect, the boat would only serve as a 'bunkhouse' in which to flop for the night's rest ... and little more. Meals could be made and served-up of course. But daily showers would have to be carried out elswhere; a marina bathouse maybe as well as toilet trips, so as to extend the porta-potty dumping intervals to that of a cat 'litterbox'.And then there would be the clutter. Easily controlled but still an issue that must be managed or else sailing this boat would quickly become a challenge. It is because of this 'clutter-collecting' instinct that we humans have, most liveaboard boats become paralyzed to their slips. Tragic. Since sailboats love to heel in gusty winds, you may find it isn't worth losing some of your 'have to have' German Hummels smashing to the cabin floor, or that prized 'Jackalope' head you have mounted in the galley above the table. Of course you have hobbies and that nearly finished classic car model that is spread-out over the galley table just needs the miniature Ford Flathead engine installed.Liveaboard an M? Mmmmm.... Not for me. However, I'd love to own an M. And with that, I would spend weekends and vacation weeks aboard just the same way I would a posh MotorHome. And then after that I would return to my cluttered home with the flushable toilet!Interesting post. Thanks Art!Tom1980 MAC25sv/Insagal
