Late Season can be Varible

Saturday looks like 58 degrees and 5 mph of wind but no chance of rain. Sunday is the day I'll plan to sail 68 degrees and 13 mph of wind SSW. There is a chance of rain 30%. That is the bummer this time of year in Alabama. It is either cool and dry or warm and wet. But this does sound like a good weekend to do a little maintenance on Saturday and some sailing on Sunday.... Next Saturday we have the parade of Christmas lights!!!! We won't light up our boat but we do enjoy looking at the boats that are well lit. Some have so many lights that they have to run a generator to keep everything lit.

30 mph wind for Sat...

But there will be NO waves... as frozen water isn't to rough in a blowing wind!Brian

8 mph saturday and 13-15 on Sunday

We are debating what to do, with the temperatures in the 60's and 40% chance of rain on Sunday. We might go kayaking on Saturday but the wife wants to go to church on Sunday. I have trouble docking in windby myself. This is a great time of year for sailing and we especially like all of the birds that go north for the summer. I love sailing!!!!!!! But the seakayaks are better for bird watching and seeing the rare gator. The sandhill cranes don't recognise people in kayaks as threats and we have paddled close to feeding flocks. The gators are shy and usually hide immediately when they see us.

FRIGID!!!

I'm racing a mid-winter tomorrow on a Beneteau 25, and the forecast temp is only 56 degrees. (56!!!) (brrrrrr!!!) Will have to dig out the foulies. Hope I can find where I stashed them last February.
