Bob, I used the poli-glow
also and loved it. do you know of anything that works equally as well for the top sides? sure would like to find something, really happy with the poli-glow!

I Used 3M
There were so many choices at WM so I bought the 3M product, the polish/wax. It works great, but needs to be manually applied as it says no circular motions and don't let it haze over. While not cheap, it does work very well. There was also a rubbing compound/wax if you need to be more aggressive. Key ingredient, your elbow grease.

The trick is not to get impatient. Like Glenn said, do a little at a time, follow the instructions to the letter and bring plenty of elbow grease. Don't know if this is a new idea but I found an easy way to buff restorer or wax off after applying it to the non-skid. Rub as much as you can with the rag and then finish with a clean deck brush with soft or medium bristles. It's just like shining shoes! Wipe the brush in a clean rag every so often to prevent wax buildup in the bristles and wash it out with mild detergent when you're through. Peter H23 "Raven"

Question asked for hull
restoration and waxing. The yard suggest "Rule" One Step Restorer and WAx. Checked with West Marine and Boat Us both of which don't carry and seems never sold before. This Poli-Glow has a glowing review in their advertisement, but haven't heard much otherwise. Thanks for the input. Frank

Frank, I tried the 1 step restorer
It did not work for me. My gelcoat was so oxidized the 1 step just didnt seal like I was looking for. I ended up going with Island Girl. Ted

Glenn, Yes. I recommend Island Girl.
I sealed my non skid deck about a year and a half ago and it still looks great. Most of the time it just takes a hose to spray the dirt off. If it is really dirty a little soaping water cleans it right up. No more hands-n-knees scubbing. IG restored the old gelcoat and sealed the pores so dirt didnt get back in. The non-skid 'kit' comes with two bottles: Pink and Sealer. The Pink cleans the gelcoat, including stains and oxidation. I used a damp sponge to apply the sealer. No buffing or polishing like with waxes. The sealer seals rock hard. Heres are a few tricks I learned. Use in warm sunny weather. (above 70 degrees) Pink will clean quicker and easier in bright sunlight. Apply sealer in the morning so that it has all day in the sun to cure. Once sealer is tacky spray with water to wash excess sealer off. I just bought a new kit and plan to redo this year. Ted

I don't recommend the Island Girl products. I found that for my boat a '75 C27 it really did nothing. It was clearly a waste of my money. I now use 3M and like it quite a bit. You'll find mixed responses on Island Girl products in the archives - from praising to hating. Peter

Glenn it work great if you follow directions.
Glenn: Next time I am down at the marina, you can take a look at my boat. I used it several years ago and it is still in good condition. The delta sun takes it's toll on the gel coat. Getting the oxidation off and the gel coat protected is important. Once you do that you can use either the IG Wax or any other product to keep the gloss.

Polyglow
I am very pleased with Polyglow. My 1975 hull looked terrible but after using the cleaner and wet sanding the gelcoat where there was some stains I applied 6 coats of Polyglow which was very easy and the hull looked great. The best part is I never have to remove it. Just wash the hull and give the hull a couple more coats of Polyglow.

I did my 88 C30 back in Dec while on the hard. she has been back in the water 3 months now and I think she looks great.
