Buy a J 24 Tiller

I replaced my tiller with a J 24 tiller from West Marine and it fit real nice.

Not too hard if you like projects

Hi Dave, Buying one is probably the easiest way to go, but if you want to make it custom in some way or just the satisfaction of doing it email me with your phone number and I'll call you with some info. Fair winds, Joe C. in NC '01 H260 Windward Passage

built mine

I built a tiller for my h20. Take the old tiller with you to the lumber yard. Mine is made of oak, one piece, no glue joints. You will need a band saw, belt sander and a little time. My tiller started out as a 2 X 8 five feet long. Best of luck with your project.

clarification

The tiller I have now is definitely not a Hunter tiller and does not fit right, thats why I asked about a jig. Seems like a fun project, probably cost about the same to build if you counted up all the materials and labor, but still fun. dave mosley
