Anybody with 3" ABI deckplate - question

If anyone has a 3" ABI deckplate for cowlvents or just the deckplate, would you please measure the number of threads per inch and the diameter outside the threads and let me know? All their stuff has been discontinued. There are still a few deckplates available on the net but I want to be sure they used the same cover for both the smoke head I purchased and their cowl vents. They probably did but I'd like to be sure.

A good way to measure the diameter is to wrap a piece of thin cardboard or heavy paper around the threads, make a pencil mark, and then measure the circumference with it flattened out. I can do the math to get the diameter.

Some day, I'm bound to drop the damn thing overboard.

i just bought 2 of the 3 in white plastic deck plates new from downwind marine in san diego--i needed the insert only--they arent threaded--i couldnt find the threaded ones...goood luck!!.....try minnies yacht surplus--i think they are online--they are in costa mesa, ca.....excellent place for finding hard to find--already been used items....they had bronze ones last i saw....happy hunting.....
