This isn’t a big deal and I can measure when I get back to boat this weekend. Just thinking about 4” memory foam in that birth.

Queen-size mattress size. Sorta. Almost exactly. But not exactly.

Thanks Kermit. Kinda what I thought but didn’t want to drag one to the lake and be wrong. Rog
Now I can give berth to a new mattress for the boat.

I didn’t say it would fit. There are some funky corners to deal with. We put a queen-size egg crate topper on top of the cushions back there. That works pretty well. I have no idea how you’d possibly get a real live mattress there. Getting past the companionway steps will be a trick.

I would open the box before going into the berth. Things could get scary when the big-ole-hunka-foam comes blasting out.

All right. The non believers among you will have to wait. I’m going to have to order one so not this week. Stay tuned though it’s going to happen and work well. I hope.

Simple. Take rear berth cushions out and measure from that with singl piece of plastic or paper. Better yet I went to place that had the foam with the cushions so they could measure from cushions

Ok the mattress is here. It’s also the wife and grandsons birthday this weekend. So might not make it to lake this weekend. Just like waiting on a wreck at nascar.
Don’t forget the video. I’m predicting it’ll be sorta like a snake in a can. Seriously.

I'd counsel against memory foam.

  • You end-up sleeping in a "hole" if the boat shifts or you want roll over -- you have to roll out of the hole, first; and, then settle down into another one.
  • I'd be cautious about mildew with the foam; and,
  • They are VERY EXPENSIVE.

Methinks the advertised box puts the matter a little past guidance. On with the video!
