I bought a second 74 Oday 20 that appeared to have a solid deck. Mine, Just Ducky, is collapsing under the mast and needs repair. We figured this was easier than trying to repair.
After I trailering it 75 miles home and sitting in the sun, we found the whole fore deck was delaminated even though the fiberglass skin is in good condition. It had been sitting in a shed for 5 years and sounded solid when I tapped it with a tool.
We decided our Just Ducky is in better shape than the one I just bought. We are trying to decide whether to attempt to sell it, or just scrap it. I have no place to store it and do not want to run up more cost with winter storage.
Is there any value in a boat in such condition and what are the chances of selling it this late in the season?
