Over the weekend I attemped to remove the prop. No idea when the last time it was off. I cleaned things up quite a bit, was able to get the two nuts off using lots of WD-40 and a little heat. The prop is on tight. I used a home made prop puller but it still won't budge. Prop and shaft are bronze. Any ideas?

Try a hammer

With the puller on as tight as you can get it. Give the back of the prop a good hard hit using a 2X4 and hammer, working it around. It should pop off.

Go to your local auto store and buy a cheap

gear-puller or better yet an "Adjustable Pitman Arm Puller". You can get them pretty cheap (I linkied JC Whitney website). I have yet to not be able to pull a prop, no matter how stuck, you might need to get the correct size/fit though.

Re; Stuck Prop

If you have an Auto Zone parts store near you they have an execellent tool loan program. If you don't want to invest in a tool you may or may not ever use again. The WD in WD40 means "water Displacement" it was really designed to remove moisture from switches etc. Liquid wrench or PB Blaster are much better at penetrating stuck fittings/bolts etc.
