I am trying to set up the B&R rig on a 2004 Hunter 306 and am interested if anyone has checked their set up with a Loos gauge and would share the values. Hunter's rigging instructions are somewhat vague and ambiguous. Example> adjust shrouds until they are tight..okay, I give up, a little tight or a lot tight? I have in-mast furling and set the bend at approx. 1 1/2", I have about 850 lbs. tension on the shrouds which would not seem to be enough (1/4" wire breaking strength 8400lbs / + or -) however at this tension I have used 2/3 of the turnbuckle adjustment which causes a concern that I am exceeding the tension the designer wants. Any help to a keelboat rookie would be appreciated.
