Looking for a tender/water taxi service for N.B. Harbor. I thought my marina had one but doesn't. I will be moored there for the season next week. Any help or suggestions short of buying a dinghy are appreciated, thank you.
I moor my boat in the New Bedford Harbor. I launch my tender from the Fairhaven boat ramp which is only about 100 yards from my boat. There is a launch service for the harbor that will pick you up at the Gear Locker or the City wharf. I used them last year for a little while. 3.50 per person one way. They're pretty good and you can reach them by cell phone or VHF radio ch 72. Never had much luck with the radio though. The only reason I stopped using them was the cost. I you bring out 3 people to your boat it's 21 dollars for the round trip. It sure does add up over the season.
