I'm trying to remove and rebead the stantions on my Hunter 27, 1977. The problem is I can't reach the nuts below deck starboard side forward above the head. I can grab the nuts outboard but the inboard set is blocked buy a fiberglass ledge of sorts. I quess I will have to cut and remove some. Has anyone had do do this before if so please let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Peter

Similar problem on H37C.

The inboard nuts were right against the plange of the hull. Using a thin-walled deep socket and an extension I was able to "beat" it on. Just enough to hold it while a friend unscrewed from up top. We use a good fitting philips screwdriver with visegrips attached. Another option is to use one of those offset open-end wrenches available at Sears. This can get on the nut from just the outside. Still requires someone on the deck to do the turning. Good luck and let us know what works.

I did it on my h33...

...and found a similar situation. With the proper tools and perserverance I made it through without cutting anything. Good luck.
