It looks like its supposed to work together somehow.. I'm wondering if it's a homemade harness..Rick Sylvester said:The ring thingy? I have no idea. It looks like someone built that for something very specific in mind.
Nothing is setup in the salon for preventer lines on the shelves..zeehag said:if the lines af fine--do any shelf spaces have preventors for items to not fall on floor when on an extended tack?? these could be that--dont know the other item
this might be getting close... it was in a locker that had the bosons chair in it..I actually have something similar to your picture that I made......... the "y" is what I use to attach my tool bag to the chair when I go aloft and the other two pieces (mine look different) I tie to the sides of the chair and let the rings I have on mine slide up the stays to keep me from swinging or spinning.
Mainsail reefing kit. The "rams horns are for the tack and clew. The two smaller bits with rings are "dog bones". The rope goes through the cringle at tack or clew and is tied so there is a ring on either side, forming the dog bone. Quick convenient way to hook into reefing equipment. My Quantum mainsail came with dogbones stitched out of flat strap material. Took a while to figure out how they expected me to use them.
Princes, Princess, Princess. What *are* we going to do with you?I had an idea of what to do with them but you already figured it out. There may be a secondary use for them but you are going to need a partner, a bottle of wine and a secluded anchorage.

I'm having a hard time trying to picture this, especially since the dog bones are linked together and seem to be in some sort of slip setup. and you say the ram horns are for the tack and clue as well as the dog bones..Mainsail reefing kit.
