I have a rig I use to keep the boom from swinging when motoring with the sail down or on a mooring. Could be something like that?

if the lines af fine--do any shelf spaces have preventors for items to not fall on floor when on an extended tack?? these could be that--dont know the other item

I'll take a shot at this.

Those are definitely rams-head hooks that are normally affixed to the gooseneck. Since they have different length tails I'd imagine they're the main first and second reef tack 'gear.' There's probably a beefy tie-off point near the gooseneck.

The ring thingy? I have no idea. It looks like someone built that for something very specific in mind.

The 4-ring thing looks like part of what you'd use to lift a dinghy- but yours must be small. Otherwise, maybe a cooler hold-down?

I actually have something similar to your picture that I made......... the "y" is what I use to attach my tool bag to the chair when I go aloft and the other two pieces (mine look different) I tie to the sides of the chair and let the rings I have on mine slide up the stays to keep me from swinging or spinning.

I actually have something similar to your picture that I made......... the "y" is what I use to attach my tool bag to the chair when I go aloft and the other two pieces (mine look different) I tie to the sides of the chair and let the rings I have on mine slide up the stays to keep me from swinging or spinning.

this might be getting close... it was in a locker that had the bosons chair in it..

Mainsail reefing kit. The "rams horns are for the tack and clew. The two smaller bits with rings are "dog bones". The rope goes through the cringle at tack or clew and is tied so there is a ring on either side, forming the dog bone. Quick convenient way to hook into reefing equipment. My Quantum mainsail came with dogbones stitched out of flat strap material. Took a while to figure out how they expected me to use them.

I'm having a hard time trying to picture this, especially since the dog bones are linked together and seem to be in some sort of slip setup. and you say the ram horns are for the tack and clue as well as the dog bones..

I assumed the dog bones were tied keep them together for storage. I'm starting however, to come around to Princesses way of thinking but would need to test the theory much more thoroughly.
