Any good Hunter 260 dinghy options to mount dinghy, davits, bar, frame?? Maybe have bimini frame behind OUTBOARD and have hanging ropes for dinghy?

Any good Hunter 260 dinghy options to mount dingy, davits, bar, frame??? Maybe have bimini frame at very rear and have hanging ropes for dinghy? Obviously yes a dinghy can be in the water and towed. Thank you for any information. - D A

I like the h260 cuz it is small but strong so gives many options, so maybe there is way to add suspended storage for dinghy to rear (see pics if interested).. Like if point backward the emergency tiller that quickly gets one backward facing pole suspended to rear (see pic) .. Fun to think about. . . . . . . . . . Hmm. Has anyone ever added a giant swim platform to the h260??? Happy summer. - - - D in Houston

A 26 foot boat just isn't big enough to hang a decent sized dinghy off of the stern, the foredeck is probably not big enough to stow it either. Tow it as Mayhem says.

Yeah I know a rear suspended dinghy on 26 footer is bit silly.

I use to put a bass raider lil boat on front of my Macgregor 26, it was heavy to lug up but doable, ,I also had a little plastic dinghy made by Bic, till someone stole it when I rowed to the bar.

the area in front of the mast is at least 6 feet long so can put lil boat across width. . . . . . . Any dinghy at under 100 pounds shoudn't really affect a 5000lb sailboat it just feels like it should . . .

Hmmm, maybe strap kayaks vertical either to the mast, haha, or strap along the boom. . . Yes a bit silly, just am thinking aloud

The store "5 Below" has $25 inflatable kayaks that float even my big 250 pounds, I bought 5 of these and we paddled the ocean waves in Lauderdale which was fun. There is a sturdier inflatable kayak called like Quikpak which works, really just inflate the main kayak and skip all else and sit and hand paddle to the bar... Or a round snow tube will hold weight of adult person, and then when on shore deflate it and go shopping and drinking, and later blow up by mouth to return to your boat... One day I will learn to swim

A sailboat BOOM is made to handle lots of force, there should be a way to swing it to side, attach 4 ropes to dinghy, pull up dingo to boom, and then swing boom back over the boat, right?? Maybe raise the boom up 3 more feet? . . . I know there is whole area of "how to lift a dinghy" using ropes and mast and boom.

I guess a dinghy could be raised using halyard rope to top of mast, and then kept suspended by this as you travel with it tucked ummm on top of the boom - - -but then a gust of wind could be a problem. Happy summer.

I hear you, towing a dinghy is a bit of a pain and slows you down so nice to get it out of the water. I like the kayak idea, if reasonably light, they can be attached to the stanchions.

The mast crutch is not recommended as it is two
Parts that slide extending that mast crutch. Adding foam or concrete will not allow the sliding.to occur. As for the boom, I would be very cautious lifting heavy weights. As for dinghy davits on the back of the boat, it was not recommended by Hunter engineering
